Are there any hazards that homeowners generally forget to get covered for?
I’ve got some great blogs on my website that cover some of the things homeowners may not think of. Flood insurance for one – it’s always a separate policy. Not everyone knows that.
What advice do you have for those preparing to buy a home in the greater Plano area?
Working with an experienced realtor that really knows Plano. Ask lots of questions. For insurance – roof age is a big question. We have a lot of weather-related events, want to make sure the home is protected.
Which improvements do you recommend to those interested in protecting their homes?
The roof is an important improvement and making sure trees are well maintained. Overall ongoing maintenance is always a good idea.
